Funnel Leasing Inc., is hiring for an Senior Product Manager that can 'work from anywhere' in the U.S. As a Sr. Product Manager you will be joining the Online Leasing Team - In this role, you will be responsible for defining the online leasing roadmap and changing the way renters find and lease apartments. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will be focused on customer needs, data-driven decision making, and understanding the competitive landscape to shape product strategy, drive impact, and scale the product. This role reports to the Group Product Manager.

The Sr. Product Manager essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Roles and responsibilities

  • Customer Focus: Engage with customers across target segments and use cases to gain deep insights. Be recognized as an expert in customer needs and use this knowledge to create value, scale the product, and anticipate future opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Anchor decisions in data and use insights to inform product strategy. Partner with Data and the iron triangle (product, design, & engineering) to define the analysis needed and independently seek and evaluate data insights.
  • Competitive Landscape and Industry Trends: Understand the competitive landscape and industry trends for your use case. Use this insight to inform product strategy and identify sustainable competitive advantages for the online leasing product.
  • Strategic Planning: Shape product/use case strategy with light support from stakeholders. Contribute and influence at the executive and department level and across groups of teams.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Partner with the Group Product Manager for Online Leasing to develop a confident point of view from roadmap inputs and other insights. Create a compelling rationale that drives product strategy forward and inspires your team.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Create alignment across teams and with a broad range of stakeholders. Inspire and motivate the online leasing team on strategy and roadmap rationale.
  • Problem Solving: Articulate complex problem statements with exceptional clarity. Continuously refine understanding as new information is learned and ensure all features, requirements, roadmaps, and documentation are up to date.
  • Solution Exploration: Steer iron triangle explorations of multiple solutions to the problem statement efficiently. Challenge the team to question assumptions and integrate the story and GTM planning into scope.
  • Go-to-Market Collaboration: Be an influential early collaborator on the GTM strategy, ensuring a fluid exchange of launch considerations and impact on product decisions. Define impactful customer feature training, support, and onboarding.
  • Shipping Momentum: Ensure consistent and reliable shipping momentum for the online leasing team and dependent teams, enabling efficient progress and high product quality.
  • Impact Delivery: Consistently deliver meaningful impact to customers and our business. Align multiple teams, key stakeholders, and leadership around strategic initiatives that help scale the online leasing product.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the team, product leadership, customers, and key stakeholders. Synthesize diverse inputs into a compelling vision and goals, and actively ensure all teams are aligned and engaged.
  • Ownership and Accountability: Take committed ownership of problems and challenges within and outside your domain, proactively finding solutions to any obstacles.
  • Decisiveness and Assertiveness: Resolve issues within your teams, make meaningful decisions quickly, and handle ambiguity by creating clarity for those around you.
  • Travel up to 5% of the time.

Education, Work Experience, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager or similar role in software development
  • Strong customer focus and ability to empathize with users
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make decisions with incomplete information
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to use data to influence product decisions and strategy.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of articulating complex problems and strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A track record of successful product strategy development and execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing product roadmaps and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with an ability to work through ambiguity and make decisive decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead teams, enhancing team capabilities and performance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment with passionate coworkers.
  • Bonus if you have experience building applications for scale.
