Your responsibilities will include driving product innovation, shaping the direction of our offerings, and ensuring customer success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, prioritize feature development, and deliver impactful solutions. The Vice President of Product essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Roles and responsibilities

  • Leads the creation and execution of Funnel’s product roadmap, by clearly articulating its strategic significance in transforming apartment/multi-family housing operations.
  • Oversees key project management functions, ensuring efficient quarterly planning and maintaining a clear list of customer deliverables including professional services requests.
  • Identifies and presents product feature trade-offs to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Prioritizes innovation and customer-centric solutions in product development.
  • Prioritizes impactful work by pivoting away from reactive development towards proactive anticipation of customer needs
  • Ensures that all product capabilities are thoroughly documented and that comprehensive product knowledge is disseminated throughout the organization.
  • Establishes systems and processes for maintaining up-to-date documentation and facilitating cross-departmental knowledge sharing to enhance collaboration and customer service.
  • Manages communication with customer facing teams regarding project statuses and potential risks.
  • Collaborates closely with the Head of Enterprise to coordinate rollouts and manage technology dependencies for enterprise customers, ensuring a seamless integration and user experience.
  • Manages product team of 10+ individuals
  • Provides thorough supervision, coaching, and mentorship to product team members by providing recommendations and guidance.
  • Cultivates a culture of excellence and ongoing development within the product team by identifying growth opportunities and providing tailored training, paving the way for advancement and potential promotion
  • Collaborates with People Ops to conduct interviews and recruit, and hire top-tier candidates for the Product team, ensuring the candidates selected align with the team's goals and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by President/Chief Product Officer
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Certifications

  • 5+ years experience in product management, with roles that show progressive responsibility
  • Previous experience in leadership roles for 5+ years within product management
  • Strong technical background, either from academic, engineering, hands-on product development experience or a combination of the foregoing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to an executive audience, and translate business objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading product strategy, defining product roadmaps, and overseeing the entire product lifecycle from conception to execution.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers and designers.
  • Proven track record of driving product innovation, growth, and profitability.
